Refresh Your Routine

We've all fallen into new routines over the last 6 months. They feel lonelier, more exhausting, more claustrophobic, and bare all at the same time.

So I would posit that now is a great time to shake that routine a little bit, and let's start by thinking about what is most important to you -- are you fitting your top priorities into your day, every day? The goals that you have for yourself long term -- are you making some, even small, progress regularly? I know there's a lot going on, but let's start with the most important thing, whatever it is for you.

Now, what do you do first thing in the morning? Aside from rushing to turn off the alarm and shuffle to the bathroom, and those things we have to do when we start our day like grab a coffee or feed the dog, what is the very first thing you work on or spend time on? Is it your personal most important thing? The thing you want to make progress on every day?

If the answer is no, why not? Can you shift your schedule and carve out 30 minutes a day to work on your most important priority first thing in the morning, at least for a week, and see how you feel about that?

Give it a try. Take a moment today to prioritize your most important personal goals. Time will fly by with or without our forward movement, and if you truly prize something, taking time to work on it every day will be a reward now and in the future.
